Fascia release
Fascia release, also called fascial release, is any technique that helps restricted Fascia soften, glide and lengthen.

Fascia release and fascial release
Both names describe the same idea: freeing Fascia that has become tight, dry or stuck to the layers around it. Hands on myofascial release is the most direct form; stretching, movement and self release with a ball are gentler everyday forms.

What happens in the tissue
Healthy Fascia layers slide over each other on a thin film of fluid. When they lose that glide they begin to stick and pull on their neighbours. Slow, sustained pressure appears to help the tissue soften and the layers move more freely again.

Reviews
Fascia release reviews
He explained with videos and proof exactly what was going on in my body. He told me all about fascia. I picked my right hip and thigh. Just after 20 minutes there was no pain and no stiffness.
He spent time analysing my posture, looking for the sources of my problems, explaining to me how they are all linked, then gradually working on releasing the fascia in every single part of me.

Questions
Fascia release: questions answered
How does fascia release feel?
Gentle, with a stretching or warming sensation as the tissue softens.
Can I do fascia release myself?
Yes, with a ball or roller. See the self myofascial release page.
How is it different from stretching?
Stretching lengthens through movement; release uses held pressure on a specific area.
