Tension headaches
How massage for tension headache works
Tension type headaches are often described as a tight band around the head or pressure at the base of the skull. They frequently build with neck and shoulder tension through the day. Releasing the suboccipital muscles at the base of the skull, the scalp Fascia and the neck can ease the tension that feeds them.

Session
Your session for tension headaches
After checking neck movement, James releases the upper back and shoulders, the neck, the base of the skull, the scalp and the jaw. The head stays fully supported. You leave with two simple resets for your desk or car.
Between sessions
Reducing tension headaches day to day
Headaches that build from the neck often start with the chin drifting forward. A slow chin tuck, drawing the head back over the shoulders, repeated five times an hour, eases the base of the skull. Regular drinks of water and breaks from screens help too.
Notice if you clench your jaw when concentrating. Resting the tongue on the roof of the mouth with the teeth apart lets the jaw and temples soften.
Reviews
Massage for tension headache reviews
He spent time analysing my posture, looking for the sources of my problems, explaining to me how they are all linked, then gradually working on releasing the fascia in every single part of me.
My shoulder was worked on for 20 minutes and I can now move my arm the best I've been able to for as long as I can remember.
